The TV/Video Communications Department prepares students for a variety of careers in the television and movie industries, within a short time and at a very affordable cost. It can also help to create a strong foundation for those individuals preparing to transfer to programs at 4-year universities, or simply to enhance their own personal knowledge.

Our students learn more than theory. At the college’s state-of-the-art studios, they receive hands-on training from industry professionals, who have extensive experience in their fields. The technical resources and quality of instruction are among the best in the nation and students come to the college from around the world.

The department’s television complex boasts a fully equipped four-camera studio that rivals those found at commercial stations. The facility also houses several digital non-linear editing bays, as well as DVD authoring and computer graphics workstations. A variety of professional digital video cameras, lighting equipment, and audio gear are also available for students to check out and use in the field.
